How to Get Started
Getting Started
- Complete an application form for a provisional L.G.V./P.C.V. Driving licence.
- Obtain a medical form completed by your doctor.
- A cheque or postal order to cover the D.V.L.C. licence fee.
- Forward the above along with your current Driving licence (recorded delivery) to D.V.L.C, Swansea, SA99 1BR.
The Next Stage
- Once you receive your licence from the D.V.L.C, contact Jim to arrange an assessment HGV drive.
- At the completion of the assessment, he will be in a position to establish your training requirements and provide you with a realistic course cost.
- Jim is a registered Learner Provider and will advise on the eligibility possibilities of obtaining an assistance grant towards the training costs through the Individual Learning Accounts (ILA) system.
- The theory test has to be passed before the practical driving test. To assist study towards the theory test, Jim will provide you with an up-to-date D.S.A. manual that contains a very helpful and comprehensive question and answer bank. Alternatively you can visit the D.S.A. Web site at www.driving-tests.co.uk
- Jim will allow you time to prepare and book your theory test at your local location. He will also book your practical test and issue course training dates on the assessment drive, if you require.
